Sometimes the real estate world can be quite confusing and we don't all have a friend in real estate that we can call and gather advice from. Echo Bay Real Estate was founded to make the process friendlier and less intimidating. Aside from being a Real Estate Agent, Jamie is here to answer your questions, provide guided advice and walk you through the process in a kind and friendly manner.
Whether you are selling for the first time, buying your first house, renting or looking to invest, we are happy to chat anytime about what will suit your needs the best possible way. Don't worry, we will always ensure that we put our clients' interests ahead of our own. And yes, this could even mean that we may talk you out of a house if we don't feel it's the right move.
We have built some separate pages for our clients to learn more about us and the industry, and in case you don't have a chance to look at them, here's a quick summary below:
✔️ Pick your Agent - Smaller brokerages generally are more versatile, agile and customer experience focused than larger brokerages. Both are great, but don't always rely on the "big names" for the best service.
✔️ Relationships Matter - Make sure that you are comfortable with the agent you choose, this relationship is very important and can make or break the whole process. You are allowed to interview agents to make sure that there is a good connection, so do your due diligence.
✔️ Sellers - Ensure that if you are selling, your agent puts their best foot forward by using professional services to make your house as presentable as possible.
✔️ First Time Buyers - This is a big first step, make sure that your agent is fully transparent about all the steps and costs required when buying for the first time. Also, make sure that you maximize any incentives for first time home buyers.
✔️ Buyers - The industry and trends are changing on a regular basis and 2021 was a record year for the industry. When offering on a property, make sure that you use market data to make educated decisions. Bidding wars can be intense, and you don't want to wind up in a situation where you have significantly overpaid for the house and the bank appraisal doesn't appraise the house for what you paid.
✔️ Renters - Working with a Real Estate Agent will make this process smoother for you. Real Estate agents, like us, will ensure that you have all the proper documentation ready, complete the contracts with the landlord and do all the behind the scenes work for you.
I don't know where to start? - feeling lost about any of these steps?
